Dr. Alyxandria A. Danger

Dr. Alyxandria A Danger is a board certified Optometric Physician and a graduate of Pacific University of Oregon, College of Optometry in Forest Grove, Oregon. She is a member of the American and Alaskan Optometric Associations and applies the latest techniques and treatment plans based on current research. During Optometry school she actively researched with Nike® to help evolve their knowledge of sports vision science. She has volunteered at elementary schools, vineyards, homeless shelters, and at churches around Portland, Oregon, helping provide free examinations and glasses to hundreds of people in need. She has provided eye care using the modern medical model (which integrates the specialized, unique and complementary skills of optometric physicians & ophthalmologists in group practice) in Bountiful, Utah and at the Salt Lake City VA Hospital; specialty contact lens care at the Moran Eye Care in Salt Lake City, Utah; as well as a LASIK and Cataract comanaged site in Denver, Colorado.

Dr. Danger is comfortable, confident and efficient providing services and utilizing our state-of-the-art technology assisting Makar Eyecare’s healthcare model in Anchorage, Alaska. She is a certified eyelash extensionist and uses science based skincare regiments like SkinCeuticals® and supplements produced based on medical studies to offer her patients the best in health and beauty. She received a Bachelor’s of Science in Physiology and Zoology at the University of Wyoming in Laramie, Wyoming. She enjoys hiking, climbing, biking, skiing, snowshoeing, photography, traveling and spending time in the mountains with her husband and pet dog. Throughout the years, she has run many races, and has enjoyed getting involved with local soccer, softball and volleyball leagues.

​​​​​​​Wyoming is her native state but she grew up traveling the world. Before Optometry school she spent time teaching dance to youth in her hometown and working at the local hospital throughout her undergraduate years. She is enthusiastic and explores all that Anchorage and the surrounding areas have to offer!
